When I was 14 and at boarding school, Marilyn and Cliff were the junior boys' houseparents for a term or two and I thought Marilyn was uber-cool. Not only was she friendly and sweet, she talked to us girls like we were her actual friends and that our opinions about school, boys and other crucial things mattered a lot.
I love that I can reconnect with people years later, through Facebook. And I love that Marilyn has started a blog so I can get to know her again a little bit.
(Oh, and last year she went back to Pakistan to help with flood relief. Her story about that is here on my 300 stories blog.)
